Not sure what to wear for engagement photos? You’re not alone. Most people stress over what to wear, but all this could be avoided with these 5 SIMPLE TIPS.
Your engagement photos only happen ONCE. This is a chance to show your personality, to dress up, and to have a ton of fun. How often do you get to do a full photoshoot? Go get your makeup done, buy a new dress, or schedule a blowout the morning of. Do whatever it takes to feel your best!
It’s important to wear something that makes you feel comfortable. Being in front of the camera can already feel new for some people, so wear something that will help you feel like your most confident self.
Color might be the most important factor when thinking about what to wear for engagement photos. First, think about your photo location. Are you going to be somewhere with lots of texture, like the trees? Then wear soft colors like cream, pink, or light grey/blue. Are you going to be in the desert? Wear something more bold to stand out against the simple background.
It’s always good to stay away from extremely bright colors, all black, and logos. It’s best to wear soft, neutral colors and patterns. Here’s some good color combinations.
Coordinate with your partner, but don’t match with each other. Did I mention don’t match? Check out my pinterest board for some ideas on colors and how to perfectly compliment each other’s outfits!
Go out for a glass of wine, or find some way to destress before your engagement session. Your photographer is also there to help you have fun!
