Lesson Learned: If you’re planning on taking Paris engagement photos in Jardin du Luxembourg, go before sunset! Paris, France is obviously full of amazing photo locations, Jardin du Luxembourg just being one of them, but it is special to me because 1. it was absolutely beautiful and 2. this is where I met Romain and Lucia. The gardens have beautiful tree-lined pathways and intricate architecture with a soft patina that beckons photos from every angle. French culture is alive at the gardens. People share baguettes with a bottle of wine. They converse with family, friends, coworkers and strangers; no phones present. This place just sang the beauties of French culture and I wanted to capture it with a couple.
I had planned on meeting Romain and Lucia for a sunset photoshoot in the gardens, but once we started capturing we were interrupted by loud whistles going off throughout the park. Low and behold the park guards were clearing everybody out for the night! We started to slowly make our way out of the garden, taking as many photos as we could. When we found a gap in the guards we would double back to create another moment. Through our sneaking we extended our stay in the gardens another 20 minutes, giving us a few beautiful photo opportunities with no one else in the background. Thanks to this couples flexibility and fun loving personalities, we all had a wonderful time; and can you believe their engagement shoot was their first photoshoot ever?!
We ended the night with dinner at a cafe a few blocks away, and it was so fun making new friends in Paris! Thank you, Romain and Lucia!
